Dr. Aurelia Nattiv is a Professor in the UCLA Departments of Family Medicine, Division of Sports Medicine and Non-Operative Orthopaedics, and in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She has served as the Director of the UCLA Metabolic Bone and Osteoporosis Center for over 20 years, and sees patients in the areas of osteoporosis across the lifespan, and sports medicine, with an emphasis on women's sports medicine. Dr. Nattiv's primary areas of research and publications have been in the area of the female athlete triad (disordered eating, amenorrhea and osteoporosis), as well as stress fracture risk factors and prevention, and osteoporosis management. She speaks nationally and internationally, and publishes extensively in these areas. Dr. Nattiv received her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Sonoma County Community Hospital in Santa Rosa, California. She received her sports medicine fellowship training at the UCLA Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, and has been an integral faculty member for the fellowship training program over the last two decades. In addition to serving as a team physician for the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics since 1994, Dr. Nattiv has served as a team physician and consultant for USA Track and Field, USA Gymnastics and the United States Olympic Committee. Dr. Nattiv has served as Chair and first author of the American College of Sports Medicine Position Stand on the Female Athlete Triad and has also co-edited a book entitled The Female Athlete. She has served as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as two terms for the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. She currently serves on the editorial board for the British Journal of Sports Medicine, and reviewer for multiple journals.

He has served as a USA team physician for several international competitions including the World Championships, World Cup, Continental Cup and Pan American Games. In addition, he has served as a physician for the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Dr. Vigil is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Vigil is a member of the Sports Medicine Board Certification test writing committee for the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Vigil's sports medicine practice at UCLA includes patients of all ages for the evaluation of sports-related injuries and medical problems. He also practices family medicine, providing care for patients with a wide variety of medical problems, as well as supervising medical students, residents and fellows.

Dr. Kovacs graduated from McGill University and completed his internal medicine residency, chief medical residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. He did post graduate training at the Center for Ulcer Research and Education (CURE) with Dr. John Walsh a pioneer in the field of gut hormones and gastric physiology. At CURE, Dr. Kovacs worked on the regulation of gastrin and acid secretion and the effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on gastric secretory pathophysiology. Using innovative technology such as monoclonal antibodies to gastrin, led to a better understanding of gastrin’s vital role in the regulation of the various phases of gastric acid secretion. Dr. Kovacs is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is a key member of the CURE Hemostasis Research Group and the UCLA Center for Esophageal Disorders. His clinical care interests include general gastroenterology, with a specific focus on esophageal disorders, peptic disease, gastrointestinal bleeding and Clostridium difficile associated disease. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology, and is also fluent in French and Hungarian.
