Welcome to our Grand Opening, here in South Pasadena. Come on down, and find HOPE ….Hope Fellowship, that is. We are a Church Plant of Calvary Chapel La Mirada. A Church Plant is an offshoot of another larger, well established church. If you are looking for a smaller church, where you can form relationships, grow up spiritually, and jump right in and serve this community, then come and join us. I invite you to hear what the Spirit is saying to His Church, during these economic, culturally turbulent, biblically prophetic, and most definitely, challenging times. I pastor Mel Venegas, along with the help of my lovely wife, Yvonne, and many others have been faithfully teaching and preaching the Word of God to all who would come and listen. We started in the city of Downtown Los Angeles, on the corner of HOPE and 12th street (hence the name). From Downtown, to skid row, up to Eagle Rock, and now coming to South Pasadena. The WarMemorialBuilding was built in 1921, as a way to commemorate veterans, specifically of WWI. Ironically, this buildings name, War, reminds me, that we are at war on a spiritual level, against drugs, drinking, loneliness, and a host of other social ailments. Jesus said , 24 whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Join me as we begin to build up our spiritual house upon an unshakable foundation through the systematic teaching of the Word of God. WHEN: January 6th, 2013 (Sunday / & Sunday after) @ 8:30am-10:00am WHERE: War Memorial Building 435 Fair Oaks Ave, South Pasadena, CA 91030 CONTACT: Pastor Mels Facebook (213)309-7842 / www.HopeFellowshipLA.org
