Dr. Nadji is a fellowship trained, board certified ophthalmologist. He takes pride in giving each patient individual attention and always allows them the chance to ask any and all of their questions. He specializes in sutureless cataract surgery and is one of the few surgeons in Santa Monica performing the newest laser cataract surgery. He is available for ophthalmic consultation and can screen for glaucoma, dry eyes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetes. Dr. Nadji graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern. He then moved to New York to complete his residency at Nassau University Medical Center and his cornea fellowship at Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island under the mentorship of Dr. Henry Perry and Dr. Eric Donennfeld, two leaders in the field. In fellowship, Dr. Nadji specialized in advanced cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, cornea transplants, and the latest techniques in laser and refractive surgery. In his free time, Dr. Nadji can be found playing sports and enjoying the weather with his wife and baby girl. Dr. Arshad Ahad was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, where he completed his medical education at Dow Medical College. He came to America to continue his path on the east coast, completing his internal medicine residency at New York Medical College and his hematology/oncology fellowship in Boston, MA at Tufts University/New England Medical Center. Dr. Ahad launched his own private practice in Florida, before finally arriving on the West Coast. He found his way to oncology through working with a mentor and realized he had a passion for helping people when they needed it the most. He loves interacting with patients and delivering care to them with a personal touch. It is important to Dr. Ahad to value each patient as an individual and provide them with hope and options. He provides an elite level of care through years of medical experience and can connect with different communities through language, such as Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi. About The Practice Thomas C. Apostle, DO, specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as psychiatry at his practice in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Westlake Village, California. Fewer than a dozen physicians in the United States have this unique combination of specialties. Dr. Apostle received his Bachelor of Science in psychology from Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, where he was a member of the Mens Varsity tennis team. He stayed at MSU and studied in an interdepartmental biological science masters program before earning his medical degree at MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990. The following year, he was an intern at the Boston University-affiliated Framingham Union Hospital in Massachusetts. Dr. Apostle completed his residency in psychiatry at the LAC+USC Medical Center. He remained in Los Angeles to complete a second residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he served as chief resident.  Dr. Apostle is an attending physician in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the Department of Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also serves as an attending physician at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Spine Center and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Pain Center. In addition, he is an active member of the North American Spine Society and the Spine Intervention Society.  Dr. Apostle has dedicated his practice to the treatment of patients with ortho-spine disorders, knee pain, low back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, depression, psychosis, anxiety, and substance use disorders. He has a strong interest in the treatment of patients with substance use disorders and is a physician/consultant at several detox and residential/intensive outpatient program centers in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Malibu.  Outside of medicine, Dr. Apostle enjoys playing tennis at the famed Los Angeles Tennis Club and is an avid college sports fan.
