Ink stains can be troublesome. The best way to keep ink stains away is by avoiding the pin up of pens in your pockets or bag. Also, do not leave uncovered pen lie around in your bag.

Step 1 Blot any excess urine from the upholstery, being careful not to spread the stain or grind it into the upholstery. Step 2 Mix a solution of two cups cool water, one tablespoon dish washing liquid, and one tablespoon of vinegar. Step 3 Using this solution, sponge the spot with a clean white cloth.

To treat urine-soaked clothes, first run them through the washing machine, using cold water, with 1 cup of white vinegar and no detergent. Then run the load again, this time using the customary amount of laundry detergent and whichever temperature the color calls for.

Blot the area with paper towels or a clean washcloth if the urine is still wet. Draw out the urine from the mattress by sprinkling baking soda on the wet stain. As soon as the soda turns yellow from the urine, remove and apply more. Repeat the process until the baking soda stays white.
