Tactical K9 was started with the sole purpose of offering the Police and Military K9 community advanced Tactical K9 Training. Years have rapidly gone by and many Departments do not have the required control and discipline over their canine partners. Their instruction throughout North America has demonstrated the need for such training. Each member of Tactical K9 is or was a certified K9 Handler and or Supervisor in the law enforcement community. The Los Angeles K9 Platoon has one of if not the highest find ratios for suspect apprehensions in this country. Our techniques are tried and true through real life successes and failures. Through this experience we have learned what works and what will keep you alive. Our instructors also have a complete understanding of how to survive in this litigated world we live in. Officer survival in the field is just as important in the court arena. It is this combination of experience and beliefs that make this organization unique in nature. There is no job to large or too small for our company. We have a myriad of Officers and Supervisors that we draw from. Each Instructor is California POST Certified to instruct. This experience is not only in K9 operations but SWAT operations and administrative expertise as well. We specialize in K9 Problem Solving, Off Leash and E-collar Training, Command Post Operations, K9 Search Team and K9 SWAT Tactics. We do not teach long line search tactics. Our methods will allow you to discard your long line. We believe the only time your leash or long line is necessary is when you are tracking and trailing with your canine. Simply put, we are on the cutting edge when it comes to search team tactics, perimeter containment training, and off leash control. The offered training is second to none. We have been called upon time and time again by Departments to enhance their K9 search skills while developing patrol personnel in the art and science of perimeter containments, and command post operations.
