Hi there! Thank you for stopping by! My name is Isela and this is how Whimsical Touch started: In 2008, I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a BA in Business Administration and worked in Commercial Property Management for over 20 years. Taking a glance at my personal life, I suffered with infertility for over 10 years and after going through 3 failed cycles of IVF which was the last straw that broke my marriage. I finally got pregnant with my very last embryos. While out on Maternity leave as a new single mom of twins, I was notified that the company I was working for would be selling the properties I was managing and letting all of us go. This was a shock to me, since financially the company was doing amazing. They paid me a severance and along with my savings, I was able to stay home and be with my miracle babies without having to worry financially. When the boys turned one, I planned a party and hired my friend and her sister to do decorations and I fell in love with balloons, I always loved decorating for family events so this was not new to me but turning my love for event decorations into a business was born out of the need to find a new avenue to support my boys. I took some of the remainder of my savings and started to invest in props and supplies and began practicing my craft with passion! Initially I thought it would be a temporary way to earn money until I found a new job but I just loved it so much and this new venture allowed me to keep working from home and really be there to raise my boys while still being able to support them financially. I can't explain how grateful I am for losing my job and what was the worst timing turned into such a big blessing for us. Along with my new life partner Jose, who has supported my idea wholeheartedly, we established Whimsical Touch Events. Jose is the man power behind the brand, he builds our props and helps me with all our installations.
