Dr. Shen Ling came to the U.S in his early life, and has been through rigorous and highly competitive training throughout his career. With a biology major, he continued onto graduate studies at UCLA, and then entered prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in 1994. He furthered his education, returning to UCLA, with an three-year specialty residency training program in periodontics and implant surgery. In 2001 Dr. Ling became Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Dr. Ling is a consultant to several dental manufacturers, and frequently speaks at national meetings and study groups. His most recent lecture was given at an international implant meeting in Shanghai, China. While at Harvard and at UCLA, Dr. Ling was involved with research in anti-microbial therapy in periodontics and non-surgical therapy which have won him awards and resulted in scientific publications in several dental journals. Dr. Ling limits his clinical practice to surgical and conservative periodontics, periodontal plastic surgery, soft and hard tissue reconstructive surgery, and surgical aspects of dental implants. He is currently a part-time lecturer at UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Ling spends most of his personal time his personal time mostly with his two daughters, and is a soccer coach for their teams. He is married to Dr. Wei Huang, MD.

Dr. Tanaz Kermani is the Founder and Director of the multi-disciplinary Vasculitis Program at UCLA. She grew up in Mumbai and moved to the United States in 1996 to pursue higher education. She completed her training in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She joined the UCLA Health's Division of Rheumatology in 2012. She sees patients with all rheumatological diagnoses and has a special interest and expertise in vasculitis. She completed additional training in vasculitis at the Mayo Clinic, as part of a prestigious Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium fellowship. She is an active member of the vasculitis research community, with multiple ongoing national and international collaborations with vasculitis patient advocates and medical experts. She has published several vasculitis research studies. Dr. Kermani is deeply concerned and invested in the well-being of her patients. Her approach is to listen to her patients, and provide them with the best treatment options so she and the patients can make joint decisions concerning the best way to proceed.

Dr. Vigil is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Vigil is a member of the Sports Medicine Board Certification test writing committee for the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Vigil's sports medicine practice at UCLA includes patients of all ages for the evaluation of sports-related injuries and medical problems. Brian G. DeRubertis, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at UCLA and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After obtaining his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. DeRubertis earned his medical degree, residency, and fellowship training at Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia University training programs in New York.His clinical interests include open and endovascular management of complex aortic aneurysms, lower extremity arterial occlusive disease, carotid artery disease, and deep venous disease. Dr. DeRubertis has participated in more than 20 clinical research studies, including roles as National PI in the REALITY Trial and the LIFE-BTK Trial. He has published more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and more than 25 book chapters and other publications. He has presented his own research and given invited presentations at regional, national, and international academic conferences, including the SVS, NEVS, WVS, VERVE, VEITH, TCT, LINC, and VIVA, delivering over 300 presentations at these conferences. Dr. DeRubertis has received several honors and has been named among America's Top Doctors by U.S. News and World Report in a collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. that features peer-nominated physicians across 75 specialties.

Dr. Dina Kamel is a general endocrinologist who practices in Burbank. While she sees patients with all sorts of endocrine and hormone disorders, she has a clinical interest in diabetes, pituitary and thyroid disorders. She believes in educating her patients about their medical conditions so that they can weigh in and help make decisions about their care. Dr. Kamel was born in Egypt and raised in Los Angeles, where she remained throughout her medical education and training. She earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship training at the University of Southern California.
