Dr. Rachael Oxman completed her undergraduate education at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City. She went on to attend the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai earning both her medical degree and masters of public health. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview where she received the Frank L Coulson, Jr Award for Clinical Excellence upon her graduation. She completed her specialty fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at UCLA. After fellowship, she joined faculty at the UCLA Gonda Diabetes Center in Santa Monica. Most recently, she additionally became a fellow of the EnVision Cystic Fibrosis: Emerging Leaders in CF Endocrinology II Program funded through The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to address the unique endocrinologic needs of patients with cystic fibrosis at UCLA. Her clinical interests include Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes, Insulin Pump Therapy, and Continuous Glucose Monitoring. She is also enthusiastic about community health promotion, expanding access to diabetes care through telehealth and quality improvement research.
