Method: STEP 1 Combine plain flour and salt. STEP 2 Add water, food coloring and oil. Mix until ingredients are combined. STEP 3 Knead well. STEP 4 If consistency is too wet add a little plain flour.

Instructions: Mix together the flour and the salt. Mix together half cup of warm water with a few drops of food coloring. Slowly pour the water into the flour mixture, stirring as you pour. Stir until combined, then knead with your hands until the flour is completely absorbed.

Mix water into the Play-Doh. Seal the bag, then knead the water and the dough together. Start with just a few drops of water, to be safe, and keep adding water as you squeeze. Do not add so much water that the color bleeds and the bag becomes soggy.

Bring the water to a boil in a sauce pan; remove from heat and set aside.Whisk together the flour, salt, cream of tartar, and soft drink mix in a large bowl; stir the vegetable oil into the flour mixture using a spoon, not a whisk. Pour the hot water into the bowl and continue stirring.
