He served as the Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at BCM and was recognized with the Fulbright and Jaworski Faculty Excellence Award, the Baylor STAR Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice, and multiple teaching awards. Dr. Artinyan was recruited to Los Angeles in 2018 to serve as the Co-Director of Surgical Oncology for the Verity Medical Foundation to develop a world-class cancer center in the heart of Los Angeles. Dr. Artinyan is active in clinical research and has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters. He has been invited as a guest lecturer nationally and throughout the world and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Surgical Research.
