Before moving to Beijing, he also taught at the California Acupuncture College in Los Angeles and the Emperors College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California, where he served as an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Acupuncture Department. He had the honor of teaching courses such as acupuncture anatomy, scalp acupuncture, and acupuncture point location. He maintains active membership in the National Guild of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and has received numerous honors and awards, including the Gold Award for Research from the American Chinese Medical Association and a Certificate of Commendation from the China Acupuncture Association. Dr. Jones is married and has two children who lived with him in Beijing. His wife graduated from the renowned Beijing University of Foreign Studies with a bachelors degree in English translation. He spends his free time volunteering at his church, Eckankar, and going on day trips with his family to the many interesting places in Southern California. As an enamored student of foreign languages, Dr. Jones speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and conversational Spanish.
