If you are pregnant, by then the levels of hormone may be high enough to be picked up by the test. A blood test can also detect hCG. Blood tests are more sensitive than urine tests and may detect pregnancy from about six days to eight days after ovulation.

Dna testing relies on comparing fragments of dna (called ï¾genetic lociï¾ or simply ï¾lociï¾) between an alleged parent and a child. A child receives one half of his dna from the mother and the other one from the father moreover, the process is more or less random.
Can a positive pregnancy test be wrong?

It is possible to have a positive pregnancy test result and not actually be pregnant despite many people telling you otherwise. It's not at all common - but it can happen. A false positive result is very rare, explains midwife Anne Richley, but this may occur for a few possible reasons.
