It's not that used plastic bags, wraps and film can't be recycled into new materials they simply require a different collection system and processing equipment than many curbside recycling programs provide.

All clean, dry bags and wraps labeled #2 or #4 are accepted at bins like these found in grocery stores nationwide. Recyclable items include: Plastic shipping envelopes (poly mailers and poly bubble mailers) Ziploc and other re-sealable bags.
