Do the jungle gyms come with the floor mats or does that have to be purchased separately?

The mats are not included with the jungle gyms. They have to be bought separately. We recommend buying the mats to cover at least 48â³ x 48â³ area that is underneath the jungle gym

The first jungle gym was invented in 1920 and patented by lawyer Sebastian Hinton in Chicago. It was sold under the trademarked name Jungle gym. The term "monkey bars" appears at least as far back as the 1930s.
